My Review of Crystal Aero Group:
Crystal Aero Group has the friendliest, most familial feeling atmosphere that I've experienced in any flight school. Social outings with fellow students and instructors are frequent, and everyone is very supportive of one another. They offer very good quality instruction for a wide variety of licenses and ratings, and one leaves feeling safe and competent with their newest rating. Housing for out-of-town students is available within walking distance of the field.
Crystal Aero has several older 172s, all but one are equipped with Garmin 430s, as well as a few Cessna 150s. They are heavily used by flight students, and are therefore, understandably, not in the greatest shape. One will most likely encounter at least one technical difficulty in their time at Crystal Aero.
Overall, my experience with Crystal Aero was a very positive one. In subsequent flight schools, I find I always miss the fun and supportive atmosphere CAG provided.
